See, THIS is the issue I have with politicians in this country...and the citizens who elect them (which includes, of course, myself since I exercise my voting right).
For all the BS going on between Liberals and Conservatives, there has become less and less difference in the ACTIONS between the political parties and politicians. BOTH sides of the political spectrum in our government are actively shafting the citizens and they've been getting away with it.
Meanwhile, they all continue spouting bullsh*t and empty promises.
Well, I'm tired of it and I'm going to start placing my duly elected politicians on notice in writing...and that includes the ones I've voted for. For example, I'm about to send a letter to Lindsey Graham a letter that I'm going to start working to vote him OUT of office, if I have to vote someone from the other party IN to accomplish it. I'd rather be stabbed in the gut than stabbed in the back.
(Lindsey Graham is my own personal example, not meant to start a debate about my political beliefs.)
Personally, I think the citizens in this country need to start taking this kind of attitude to the voting polls. We need about 18 straight years (three full six-year Senate terms) where all we do is vote whomever is in office OUT. Pack up your bags, take a hike, and don't let the door hit you in the *ss on the way out.
Maybe after that, the people who DO make it into office will stand up and take notice when their constituents who put them in office speak...and realize they're going to be held accountable for their campaign promises and commitments which put them in office in the first place.
And yes...I mean this to apply to both sides of the political spectrum.
