I took an Advanced CCW class a few weeks ago. We shot 150 rounds during a four hour course. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the time and money. I usually go to the range every Friday for more practice.

SGT (Join to see) I have 500 JTC and 500 Sierra JHP for 357 SIG. The JHP will go in new Starline cases, and the JTC will go into once-fired cases.

SGT Steve McFarland - Nice loads, i always wondered on the 357 SIG round, but here on Guam it's hard to get, it looks good though.

SGT (Join to see) 357 SIG can be loaded down into 9mm territory, or loaded up to give 357 Magnum a run for its money. Paired with a SIG P229 with a 15 round mag, it's a good carry package. With a 15 round spare mag, you can have 31 rounds on tap.

SGT Steve McFarland - I like the 357 SIG specs, loading it to 9mm and 357mag specs. But here there is no more supplier for powder and primers now.
I only have enough powder and primers for about 6000 more rounds, after that, no more reloading.

Being on the fence wondering if you would use your firearm to defend yourself, or others you care about, has been answered.
As a COP for years, believe me, you have already thought about it ten times over, and came to the decision, that you could, or you wouldn't own or use a firearm today.
Having a firearm also, doesn't mean you have to pull the trigger, just the display of it gets you your results. Many a times in the streets, me just having a firearm at my side, got the results, I needed to end the confrontation with others.
Stop wondering, and get more training, and shooting time with your firearm, get proficient with it. You're not alone, with what you have asked, but all of you have made the choice of owning, and or, using a firearm.
Be come that person, in the room, or in the event, being very proficient, and more capably with your firearm, as well as, round placement.
By the way, as a COP, I've been asked many a times, would I be able to shoot or arrest another COP, the answer is, YES, I took a oath, and my word means everything to me, that's the way I was brought up. And, I'm always the best shot, with the other officers. Why, training, practice, proficiency, with my firearm, and of course, shot placement.
It's your life, Take care of it.
