Going in to combat with a weapon designed to injure seems counter productive to me, always has.

You sly, grey wolf you! I'll readily admit that my devotion to the Armalite design is mostly a result of having what I have... and training with what I have. All things being equal, I sure do wish I had a .308 laying around though.
