SSgt Robert Jorgensen I am so glad you posted this. I was thinking about our constitution this morning, and how as a society we have become a bunch of over sensitive pussies. We say we are offended, and expect the world to stop and correct the injustice. Fuck that shit. We have a constitutional right to free speech. There is nothing in that amendment about offending others. There is nothing in there that says you being offended trumps everything else. Ok so the misuse of city property, I can see that, but then again I would say a city official with a take home car is also a misuse of city property. The reality is that the United States has gotten so soft when it comes to offending people that pretty soon Isis will be able to wipe out an entire city just by putting up a billboard with a woman in a burka with the phrase "Women must know their place!" This is ridiculous. I am not a Christian. Many of contacts familial, personal, and professional are Christian. I say to them Merry Christmas. Why? Because they are Christians and that is the fucking holiday they celebrate! For my pagan friends I will say Blessed Yule. For my Jewish friends Happy Hanukkah, and for people I don't know Happy Holidays. This has to stop. Punishing first responders for trying to bring cheer. What next? I know let's court martial a soldier because they promote peace!
