Current race I think Rubio would be the friendliest to Vets. HRC and ole Bernie would kill us. Trump talks a bunch and never says anything. Cruz and Rand Paul don't really want a strong military. Bush would be good for us. Not sure about Carson. He usually only talks about the VA and there is more to us vets than the VA

You do realize that Berne has drafted every piece of veteran related legislature for the last 7 or 8 bills right?

SGT (Join to see) Sorry, when an entire political party avoids discussing this subject in debates. I don't trust them to be good for us Veterans.

SGT (Join to see) Wish it was. But I have not ever seen many Dems that are good for Vets. Got to remember my time in was at the end of Vietnam and I grew up during all of that mess. I worked for a defense contractor. each time a Dem was voted in, we had huge layoffs. I spent my Navy time under Jimmy Carter...He sucked for everything including us active duty sailors. So NO based on Bernies political party, I don't trust him to be good for vets.

For Congress to be "friendly" towards groups is an old concept which tends to divide rather than unite CPT (Join to see). I favor strategies which benefit all or most citizens of this nation.
The field is full of politicians of the left and right who are more focused on advancing their career and stature than really leading this nation as statesmen and stateswomen who are few in number at the Federal level.

I seem to remember Bush giving huge pay raises to the military. Post 9/11 GI Bill, Expansion of Tricare to include reservists, base privileges etc.
