Our police department owns 416. Believe me when I say they are crap. They are 2 pounds heavier than an AR. After about 2 mags in rapid fire the handgrip cannot be held without gloves. The guns are overgassed and have no way to control the amount of gas running the piston. After about 300 rounds the lower is so dirty that the disconnector stops working and the only way the gun will fire is by rotating the safety back to safe and then to fire for one round...rinse and repeat for each round fired. Called HK and there response was, "We can't fix this". Just because a rifle cost $2700 does not mean it is any good. I am sure the same military morons that bought the M9 are the ones who are falling in love with the crap HK is putting out.

I like it. I’d love to get a 416 or 417.
