If you want to know the HOW and WHY helicopters fly (as well as weather, navigation, etc.) this is THE Book for you. It is very technical and can be dry in some parts, but if you read and understand the concepts presented, you will be well on your way to being a successful helicopter pilot.

, thank you very much! When I was starting command and general staff officer course Common Core I was talking in the dining facility with a helicopter pilot and he told me that the way the rock land of the helicopter on auto rotation in the movie San Andreas was total baloney! He told me that the rock would have been killed in that crash because he wouldn't have landed it correctly period do you know what was wrong about the movie? I can't remember but I bet you some here will know. CW3 Lindsey Muller
