My oldest son is at Fort Campbell so he got to shoot it late last year. He liked it but said he wouldn't buy one.

I guess my question is why these handguns was chosen if they had a significant number of stoppages in testing? Did the Glocks have the same issue?

My understanding is Glock will not add the external safety and therefore the military will not award them the contract. While working with 7th SFG in OEF I got to shoot the G19 on numerous occasions and never had an issue. I just hope SIG delivers. Our fielding is coming up in November.

Did Glock offer the modularity this contract requires?

CW2 (Join to see) There are pieces to this puzzle than just an external safety.
