Since when has a republican congress ever expressed any interest in increasing the amount of money it allocates to US hungry and homeless or healthcare for those who can't afford it?

Hey michael, you mean the same homeless and hungry who have been suffering under a democrat president. With today's labor participation rate at 62.8%, that tells me that 37.2% are out of the workforce. With a population of ~320M, that means ~119M people are not working nor participating in the economy. It also tells me that just over 50% (+12%) of the population is paying the tax bill. Does extending unemployment and welfare benefits help the economy or buy a vote?

Unfortunately I already pointed out the info is inaccurate in another post. Some of the infomation cited are snippets from a 2010 HHS budget report and then melded into some article citations from a few months ago.
