Not sexism, this was the rules.

“girls playing on a fall boys’ team cannot be entered in the Boys Fall Individual Tournament. They can only play in the Boys Team Tournament. If qualified, they can play in the spring Girls Sectional and State Championships.”

"Nash and her coach were reportedly aware of the rules before Tuesday’s tournament began, and decided she should play anyway."

So they knew the rules and decided to play for a boys team that over all lost. While she was the best player her team was the worst to sore. This is a PC driven article and "ironic" fake news, even Fox does it. Its nice to see a young lady kicking @$$ on the links and I hope she continues, but don't pretend your following the rules and then cry foul when they don't get changed for you.

Sexist rules are, by definition, sexist.

Sgt Wayne Wood - How are they sexist? There is a girls Tournament would you like to wager the boys don't get to play in it? Why is it we can have all Girls tournaments, all girls clubs, gyms, colleges, but if you have an all Boys one its sexist?

This is the hypocrisy of this nation, Want to be Equal then it all goes both ways. You think its sexist then you should be upset the boys don't get to play in the girls tournament.

To me...Golf is golf...this isn't rugby or football or baseball...it is golf and the school team should be just that the school team. However, if there is a girl on the team the team handicap should reflect the shorter tee distances etc someway to level the field so to speak.

This is a great story. Everyone played by and within the rules. The "second place winner" of the tournament showed great class from a young person and the "first place loser" also showed great class. The media is out to create sensationalism where there shouldn't be. If anything, the media should be highlighting this to show that everything isn't a crisis and people can get along if they follow the rules.
