I was excited...until I saw it was in fake money not actual money I could use locally.

But the experience from writing to be published is payment in itself! (choke). If I have to put my hardworking brain and creativity into it and fill their publication, then they can very well pay me for my time and trouble in real US $. Anything less is an excuse to get over on someone.

Yep. It's a way to get over like calling someone an 'independent contractor' in stead of employee to escape their duty to the employee for pay and benefits.
