I think this is a great article. When I was looking and I attended a few HOH job fairs, most of the positions were lower grade, physical labor. It was as if the employers didn't realize the quality and skills our veterans can provide. We are all taught to be leaders and followers, how to manage people and programs. We don't just turn wrenches, plug in cables, or push buttons. We have much more to offer than that.

HOH does a great job with their career fairs and getting a variety of employers to attend with a large variety of openings available. I have attended several of these events in Pittsburgh as an employer representative. I would recommend that both the job seekers and the employers attend their workshops prior to the event, they are extremely informative! Definitely have resumes and be prepared to interview on the spot as some employers will do so. The great thing too is as an employer there is follow-up by HOH to see how many attendees you spoke with, job offers made, etc. Good Luck!
