I don't think companies stereotype by MOS. Most have no idea what an MOS is. Veterans, like everyone else, apply for specific jobs. And companies look at applicants resumes to see if they have experience in the field. Personally, I've never supported this notion that veterans are so inflexible n their thinking or so set in their ways that companies should have to set up special programs so the vets can figure out how civilian companies work. Frankly, it's not that complicated. Every new employee has to figure out their new company's culture. Civilian companies have very different ways of doing business. Some are very loosely structured, some tightly. Some are flexible on hours some not. I actually think that the idea that a company should have to let a vet work 35 hours instead of 40 so they can get their fix of serving others is laughable. Vets if anything should have a lot of experience in going into unfamiliar situations and figuring stuff out.

Let's quit characterizing vets as somehow less than capable requiring special assistance just to go to college or get a job and function. Give me a break. It almost comes across like if you don't give a vet a person to watch over him he won't be able to figure out how to wipe his ass in a civilian bathroom.
