Great post.
Reminds me- Condoleeza Rice, in her book, describes her father and the other African American men of their Birmingham area during the "Bombingham" summer of 1963 standing guard at the entrances to their neighborhood with their shotguns and rifles. The rednecks in their pickups with the dynamite in the back seemed to lose all their starch when confronted by a few armed black men on a corner. The Birmingham cops, the state police, and sheriffs department were not going to lift a finger to defend those neighborhoods,so the men did it themselves. This is EXACTLY what the 2nd amendment is about, defending yourself when the government won't.

I’d would agree. The government has failed in protecting We the Citizens. Hopefully we we see more groups stand up like this.

At that time my Korean wife said, "We need to buy guns and fly to LA and help them." I explained that was not going to happen. "Let's fly to LA and buy guns." I explained that would not work, either. She was glued to the TV for the duration.

Every American should be armed to protect yourselves from those that would harm us. It doesn't matter what color you are. In a firefight the man that had your back was an American soldier. The color of his skin didn't matter. The red blood you received when you were wounded came from an American. The skin color didn't matter. When you kneel before the cross your a Christian. The skin color doesn't matter. When your soul enters into heaven you leave your body behind. The skin color you left behind doesn't matter. What matters is how you lived your life on earth in service to the lord, your family and your country. God bless the USA
