PO3 Steven Sherrill All I can say for the homeowner is: GET YOU SOME! While it is generally ill advised to attempt to disarm an assailant unless you know what you are doing, it seems to have gone right this time. And to all the gun control advocates; it took the police TEN MINUTES to arrive, and they knew shots had been fired!

MSgt Stephen Council notice that did you. I was not even going to mention that. It seems ridiculous that once a notification that shots had actually been fired, it still took ten minutes for the police to arrive on scene. It takes less time to get a sandwich from Jimmy John's than it does to get a police response? That in itself is a good enough reason to buy a firearm, train with the firearm, acquire a concealed carry permit, and always be armed.

PO3 Steven Sherrill I carry a gun because a police officer is too heavy! Also, police cannot respond to my emergency at 1200 feet per second!

All criminals are people who make poor life choices. Some criminals make worse choices than others. Then there are those criminals who never should have chosen to be criminals. This is one of them.

CPT Jack Durish He will at least have a good story to tell in prison? You know "I went to a burglary, but all I took was copper and lead."
