Age old issue regarding military bases. Military base established -- community around the base grows -- community does something that from the base's POV is "Really!?"
My "are you serious!?" ones are when a community grows up around an Air Force Base and then years later complains about the noise on the AFB...
How does someone develop over an established easement? Seriously, I'd like to know.
I have an utility easement that runs on the edge of my property and my neighbor's. Anytime I do anything (digging, doing some work on the house that requires a permit, etc) I get something reminding me what I can and can't do with the easement (mainly that I can't build anything atop it or within a certain distance to it).

Fairchild has been having issues with water the last few years, but the rapidly encroaching growth is strictly a civilian move.
