House Democrats plan new ‘Traffic Tax’

Careful what you wish for... Congress mandated better gas mileage and they got it. (Have you noticed all the new cars with four cylinder engines equipped with turbos?) Well, that presents a new problem. The feds aren't collecting all the gas tax they want. So, they want to charge us by miles driven instead. For that, all cars must be equipped with GPS. What could go wrong with that? Oh, and here's another money making idea. Charge us according to our rate of travel. Travelling faster? Charge more. Travelling slower? Charge more. Stopped? Charge more. Accelerating/Decelerating? Charge more. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?
