Score! It's idiotic to think that just because someone recognizes the need to hire a CPA to manage their finances that they're unable to handle a weapon that they were trained to use.

I'm all in favor of arming everyone that can handle one safely and competently, who is willing to defend the constitution... it seems as though Veterans are the BEST candidates to fit that description. A DD-214 with an honorable discharge should be accepted as a CHL in all 50 states.

On the surface, I would agree with you. However, I have known and currently know a lot of people in the Military (or who were) who are dumber than a box of rocks. Not that these people should have their rights taken from them, but I wouldn't hand them a loaded weapon and stand around....

SSG(P) (Join to see) - When I went through CHL training my class was about 25% full of people that were asking questions that made me think "They're going to be carrying a loaded weapon tomorrow, God help us."

Yes, stupid people in every demographic, but at least ex military are trained.

Good move, taking away any current gun rights is a step towards taking away all gun rights.
