For the record, I despise the Longhorns BUT my loathing for Notre Dame somehow eclipses that. So for you Notre Dame fans, my gentle suggestion for your organization is to get off the fence and join a real conference.

Hahaha! Thanks but as a Cubs fan and ND alum my loyalty to ND stance as an Independent is what makes them a program not afraid to challenge any team and any conference during the regular season. We won't use Conference ties as an excuse for having not being able to schedule a game against a Power 5 conference school.
But yes I have to give Charlie Strong and UT props for playing an awesome game; successfully exposing our weaknesses with effective game planning. Hope they continue to play well and succeed since that will also help ND's strength of schedule argument. Haha!
