Many states have been forced to lockdown despite the science showing a 98% chance of surviving the covid-19 virus. That is without any mitigation efforts to trace or prevent the virous within manufacturing facilities. Not to mention most chips are manufactured in "clean rooms" where employees don head to toe PPE. While I understand the supply and demand implications seems that the manufacturing environment for microchips is well suited for operations during a pandemic. Add symptom checks and routine testing it should be a very safe place to work.
