I think the more important question is how should any company tackle the challenges of becoming and remaining successful (grow profitably and provide sufficient return on investment to satisfy investors). If they focus on that goal, they will hire the best people who will contribute to that effort without regard for anything other than willingness and ability.

CPT Jack Durish Yours is a very sensible solution many Americans would approve of. What do you recommend for the other vociferous Americans who demand change and acceptance of everyone regardless of qualification?

CSM Charles Hayden - everybody has an opinion and... Well, you know the rest. Once upon a time we listened to every one of them no matter how badly they smelled. So that when decisions were made by those we elected to decide most were satisfied that at least they were heard even when decisions went against their wishes. Sadly, political correctness and brute force are now being used to silence opposition and people rebel against decisions they don't like. We must either relearn old habits of freedom and haggling or the rancor and violence will grow.

My favorite was, “By creating a workplace where people can be themselves, feel valued for their contribution and can get on, you’ll then have a great basis to increase the level of diversity across the firm...Be open and transparent and get a conversation going – enable people to disagree, allow controversy and different opinions. After all, isn’t that what diversity is about?” By focusing on contribution, and allowing diversity of THOUGHT, this drives a positive momentum. The worst thing you can do is punish a person publicly for expressing an honest opinion. You will shut down all communication except for the most vapid leftist treacle.

Last time I checked you hired people for their ability to accomplish the jobs associated with the company, not for their contribution to diversity. Focus on hiring the right people to meet the goals of the company and the rest will take care of itself.

Absolutely. That's problem today, too much worrying on PC, too little focus on right person for the job.
