America's leadership has always depended on its ability to set an example that others were willing to follow. We lost a lot of ground in that respect "leading from behind". Okay, I'll say it. President Obama's constant self loathing of America's past didn't help. Hell, if the President thinks we're a bunch of schmucks, what can we expect the rest of the world to think of us. Sadly, President Trump doesn't have the oratory skills of a President Reagan, nor the easy style to ingratiate himself with others (although his wife does), especially to leaders who have grown used to a self-flagellating US President. That being said, I'm happy with the direction in which President Trump is leading the nation and couldn't care less at this point if the rest of the world is following us or not. However, although the world's leaders are not embracing our President, many ordinary people are still styling themselves after Americans, which leads me to think that they aren't any more enthralled with their leaders than we are with ours...
