You'd have to be an absolute idiot if you attempted to steal a Mac. Stealing a windows PC is a bit easier if the thief (probably an idiot) is smart enough to remove the battery first. However, the moment my Apple device is stolen I can put out a Police report, track it, and give the authorities the information to do the same. Thievery, in my opinion, is one of the lowest and most despicable forms of crime. It's one of those things that gets well under my skin. Crime for thievery is not serious enough in this country and I'd press the judge to try them under the fullest extent of the law. With that being said, OPSEC is very important. Strong passwords, tracking capability, and asking yourself "what would I lose if someone got into my computer" are necessary. Good article.
