This TED talk is a topic long overdue for being publicly acknowledged and discussed, imo. The suggestions for solution are at least a starting point for problem that has developed and been neglected. It is past time, imo, for the problem to be addressed within the school system where it needs to be recognized - by parents too.
I watched from a point of view of choosing to recognize it is well intended, without ulterior motive, nor intended to be "code". Code, because it is a model that could, in general, address any type of societal polarity especially in the ways children are raised, because of how people are subjected to "differentiation" societally, in several ways from childhood, onward.
I have been noticing the developments he is speaking of, that he cared enough about to research, then articulately bring up for discussion. For example, he speaks of behavior problems that are diagnosed and medicated in boys more than girls (although toxicity in food and water that can not be let off the hook for raising havoc with hormones in children). I cringe every time family or friends speak of a son being medicated for ADHD - it is always a boy, not a girl.
Is this an argument for not teaching boys and girls in the same class rooms? Not necessarily, but it could be. Perhaps in elementary middle school, not in high school? It is a debate that has been around for a long time.
