I'd been aware of beta thalassemia for quite some time...I'd expect it, as with sickle cell anemia, might ne similarly amenable to such technique...it was quite clearly inevitable, as well as, realistically, scientifically necessary, the next logical step...if such techniques are used for purely somatic disorders, I can't perceive any immediate Frankenstein downside, that doesn't mean one won't crop up, that too might perhaps be inevitable, however, I'd expected it for quite some time, I expect various infectious diseases as well as carcinomas introduced virally would also to ne expected, as with cervical cancer stemming from human papilloma virus (HPV), with that vaccine developed to deal with it, I obviously perceive the distinction between such a disorder as the one here, however, I rather can also perceive the obvious genotypic and phenotypic similarities...it was only to ne expected, sooner or later, you know?
