I really don’t think so and here is why. I think intelligent life is hard to find on earth, think how large space is, ha ha ha, just kidding. If you believe in evolution then consider how fortuitous that man evolved. Consider it took millions of years for life to reach this point. We have now (if you believe in man made global warming) reached a point where we endanger ourselves just when we are to the point of having enough learning to understand the universe a little. So out of the billions of years the universe has existed think of the worlds that have come and gone. Think of the ones that never produce a being intelligent enough to wonder about the universe. So are we sliding through a void of intelligent trans galactic life? No my theory but it makes sense to me.
