The VAC's conduct psychosocial autopsies and root-cause analyses on every suicide of vets in their care. as a BHC clinician I have also conducted these analyses. I have offered consultation to our local Center to no avail. I believe they are not doing enough to meaningfully address the layers of trauma and keep vets engaged. Vets I've spoken to even back to Korea are much more satisfied w/ their medical care. like you it also breaks my heart.
