In our careers we have probably all seen a CSM or two and asked "How did that person even get selected?" Spend 30 seconds in a room with CSM Grinston and you'll have no doubts about the board that selected him. If you reasonably expect E9s to get progressively better at Regiment, Division, and Corps levels, CSM Grinston is exactly what you would expect to see at a 3-star command level. FORSCOM just got lucky.

Agreed msg. CSM grinston is definitely a Lead From the front type of leader always setting the example for the NCO Corps and all those around him.

CSM Grinston is a BEAST and I had the pleasure of serving in 589th Signal Co that fell under 170IBCT while he was the CSM. Some of the best PT I had was during his 1SGs PT with the BDE for NCOPD sessions.

I had the pleasure of serving with my fellow CSM. CSM Grinston is intelligent, fit, cares about Soldiers and Families, and most of all he is a Warrior. Great job my Friend.
