Reading this article just really got my blood pressure up. Regardless of their political opinions, this trash article had the nerve to explain what their beliefs should be? To tell them who they should blame for their sons death? Th fact that he actually compared their son to two traitors because they are both Muslims is absolutely disgusting. West needs to learn when to shut up already and stop using the slanderous trash articles to try to bully people.

Yes, every Gold Star family has given much to this country, the gift of life and liberty, a gift given at great cost, and nothing can diminish that. However, once they take the political stage, they assume another role, one which may draw fire. So, it is reasonable and fair for them to expect our gratitude in one role and our criticism in another. To expect otherwise is to diminish the value of the gift. Was it not given freely or were there strings attached? Thus, anyone who walks upon that political stage, regardless of the price of admission, would do well to remember the admonition, "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen".

This is what happens when you try to politicize the loss of a son in a war on a very large stage. It never end well. His service and sacrifice speaks for itself. It is unfortunate his parents have chosen to enter the fray over it.
His parents are doing him no honor by taking sides in political theater over his service and death. Using a gold star to launch an attack is regrettable but these days I guess it should be expected.
They were trotted out there by a political party that wanted to gain points in the polling at the tombstone of a fallen Army Officer. Captain Khan is gaining nothing from any of this. You need to look at who has anything to gain for the culprit. In this case, that would be the HRC campaign and the candidate.
