I'm an American and discusted at the ignorance, rhetoric and the hate that is consuming us. If American is so bad, the land built by slaves, the National Anthem is racist and the flag is meaningless... get their asses on a plane or boat and take them on a one way trip the the better land!

When I was growing up, we prayed in our houses of worship every week for the United States of America and our President. It didn't matter who occupied the White House. It didn't matter which party was dominant. That practice formed a habit that I haven't been able to break. I have prayed for every President, even those in whom I had little faith. I prayed that I was wrong and wished them well. Even after eight years of suffering President Obama's failures, I still pray for him and wish him well. Wouldn't it be foolish for me to wish him ill? Now, I'm no great fan of President-Elect Trump. I have serious misgivings and yet I'll pray for him and wish him well. Why can't the rest of America do the same?
