Its a messy conflict, no doubt Daesh (ISIS) has committed many horrendous atrocities... the same can be said of many of those who fight against Daesh.

PFC (Join to see) - There is another option. Keep supporting refugee camps (Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon). Keep arming the Kurds and support Iraqi efforts to clear their own territory of Daesh and stay out of the rest of it.

SSG (Join to see) - that does have some good ideas it's just that's how our troubles first started.

We underestimated how much Sunni Iraqis hated the corrupt Shia dominated government, and were surprised at how fast they embraced Daesh. The grass was likely greener until they found themselves at the mercy of religious fanatics. Now that Daesh is almost entirely out of Iraq, the focus needs to change to ensuring good governance for the people of Iraq. Syria is a soup sandwich and Al Assad is no less evil than Daesh, we can't fight one without helping the other... and we have no business helping either one.

SSG (Join to see) - yeah just continue to advise and train local forces and then maybe in a few years we can begin scaling down forces gradually
