I see why CHina does not worry about out matching us with Nukes. Why, because they have a cheaper and better On/Off switch, and we paid for them! The article is titled, "

Why would attackers hit defenses head-on when they could simply bypass them? The two transformer hardware cases along with the backdoors in smart transmitters led me to the epiphany that OT cyber security is like the Maginot Line from World War II. The focus for ICS cyber security has been on the OT networks, assuming all OT cyber threats have to go through the OT Ethernet networks where they could be detected and hopefully blocked. In the WAPA case (https://lnkd.in/gqEUisf) and the load tap changer (LTC) case (this blog), the Chinese went around the network cyber security and bypassed the OT cyber security Maginot Line.

While as troubling as that may be I find their ability to have manipulated Supermicro harware one of the greatest intelligence disruptions to date.
Much of what we see in the news in regards to the the trade wars is just the wake on the surface. The real story is all the covert actions going on beneath - from hacking of classified or propitiatory information, hardware implants creating back doors to the more open currency manipulation. Trump fixing our very compromised supply chain - not really surprised China allowed international flights to the US from China with COVID-19 infected passengers. As well makes more sense why many who support communism or had plans to get rich in China are so anti-Trump.
