An African American server inputs "black ppl" on an African American couple's order ticket - When they leave and see the identifier, they become upset and ultimately the media gets involved. The server was fired as well.

my first response to reading this was an uncontrollable burst of laughter...sometimes there's just nothing else that can be done when faced with blatant nonsense. I wonder how many of my receipts I've let go unnoticed that may have had "black chick" written on it? I'm gonna start paying attention...not to cause an uproar, but just for mere entertainment... :) And secondly, Whoa! IHOP does take out? I did not know this...lol

I don't usually look at my receipt, other than for the itemized charges and the servers name. I can't see myself being upset if I went on a date and the server put "mixed couple"?

LTC (Join to see) Thanks for sharing. The greatest would be if one of the couple were wearing black when he put in the entry. Otherwise this is stupid. You know what IHOP needs to apologize for is their crappy service and quality overall.
