Illinois Nazis

Many people do not know this but that scene from the movie was a parody on an actual event that happened in Chicago. The Nazi's had a Skokie Valley march and at that time Skokie Valley had one of the largest concentrations of Holocaust Survivors in the Chicago area. Thats why they choose to march there. Dan Akroyd and John Belushi might have been working at Second City TV at the time and that might be why they parodied it in their movie.........not sure on that part of the history.
