I can't imagine what goes through a parent's mind when he/she has to resort to this, meaning leaving their situation to seek a better one. On top of that, most of them do it with their children. Desperation makes people do crazy things just like these individuals coming into the country illegally. MSG Tom Early said it on his post. This sort of things happen all the time here in the United States all the time when children are taken by Social Services because of poor living conditions.
I know not everyone that comes to the US to do harm, I know a few personally. Some come to work and would do anything so they can provide for their love ones back home, anything. And because some "bad apples" which are the ones that should be targeted, everyone else has to pay.
I wonder what lawmakers of this country think about when they look at their kids or teenagers all tucked in their beds, then hear all these stories like this woman contacting lawyers to get her son back. And where is she getting all this money for a lawyer, because we all know that "nothing is this world is free". We all care about our kids, but if this was one of them?

It bugs me when critics treat these parents making a dangerous journey to escape a dangerous situation in their home country as adults committing child abuse. Each asylum case backstory is different. Some are horrible and understandable while others are so-so that you can frown on. Just wish they had more options than traveling all the way to the US; such as, finding safety in one of those other countries they have to travel through or around to get to our border.
