SSG Robert Webster It eerily reminds of that old leader who always reverts back to the way he did it during his heyday as opposed to new TTPs... yes the old ways are slow and steady, but then again , NATO nations paying their share of the financial burden, and peace in the mid-east can't be bad things...

Paying their share in the mid-east huh? You mean like putting their money in some kind of mid-east war bank account? Did these NATO countries contribute in any way to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

SSG (Join to see) - I don't know what a war bank account in the mid-east is, but NATO did support in some way or form in the GWOT -- was it their blood and treasure commitment proportionate to their capabilities and effort? -- sometimes... to break it down gumby style, in the movie 300 the Greeks supported the Spartans, but make no mistake, they were behind the shields supporting {I'm talking about the movie here}, whereas in the movie Endgame, the heroes were shoulder to shoulder -- their powers and capabilities differed (treasure), but their blood (as a target) was commensurate. I prefer that our allies share the burden more equitably - not that they have to match the US, but that they are in the game too. -- Maybe, I'm overly idealistic and that's ok too

Disappointing to see so many Obama Administration officials being appointed to foreign policy posts. I think most of us can agree that several Obama era policies were abject failures.
