In Siberia in 1908, a huge explosion came out of nowhere

Good post. Makes one consider what could be done ? A meteorite exploded and changed plant earth. New information is being debated on how many times this has happened. One meteorite with little warning could change the earth as we now understand. Even with some warning what could be done to protect earth ?

I know the story quite well, the first serious researcher there during the Soviet period was a Leonid Kulik, I believe. From what I'd read...it was apparently a bolid, am asteroid, possibly a comet nucleus, thereve been all sorts of wild speculations about vehicles, however. I consider all that pseudoscientific nonsense, honest, the damage was quite real, however, certainly....

Remember seeing this on a PBS special one night, awe inspiring destruction caused by the metorite.
