I think this is a brilliant idea. We have tons of recon drones, but there is really no reason to not have more armed drones in the skies.

interesting... The can get close and Not endanger the Pilots...
But I like the fact there is a person you can talk to in the manned aircraft...

SFC George Smith more and more, SpecOps are using handheld drones to scout areas, too. Our tech is growing by leaps & bound. I'm sure there's comms between the drone pilot & the forces on the ground.

I remember calling in close Air on Ranges in training missions, and when you are Talking to The Folks in the driver seats, we could Hit the Targets dead on with the second pass ... or with his wingman... the Marines/Navy jet Jocks were the Most accurate...
the old 5th AF jet Jocks in PI was really good... They enjoyed getting Dust on the windshield...

SFC George Smith - is why I'm ADAMANTLY against retiring the HOG until a suitable replacement is built. And that damned F35 sure as hell ain't it!
