I wrote a short biographical story about an Atomic Veteran who was at the H-Bomb test at Bikini Atoll. Although my sketch of his experience only relates to an earlier A-bomb test he witnessed in Nevada, he mentioned his ship sailing through the Bikini Atoll lagoon following the test and seeing an aircraft carrier anchored there. Sailors dressed in jeans and t-shirts were swabbing the flight deck. I have to wonder if this is that carrier.

Dick Latham is a United States Marine whose story is missing a chapter. Members of every branch of the United States military wear their story upon their chest. Each chapter is written in a language...

I love when they find old military equipment and transports. Undersea, buried in the sand, in the jungle. Of course now they will probably try and salvage it and in the process ruin whatever is left of the carrier.

I don't think this is really "found" wreckage. It was placed there to build artificial habitats for marine life and most like will remain for that purpose. I think the study is more about the success of the program rather than the ship itself.

No this is 2600 feet down and was scuttled on purpose. They are using it now to study marine life that has taken up residency. Would be cool to dive on it though. That would be one hell of a dive.
