Check and see how much the major pharmaceutical companies contribute to congressional campaigns and you'll have your answer as to why they get away with charging so much. Follow the money trail people.

This definitely needs to be fixed. I have a cousin with Type 1 and fortunately, his parents can afford his medication but many cannot.
