Sounds like going to the cabin for a while is a good plan...unless trout are carriers.

My wife is diabetic. I'm no prepper, but we've always kept, rice, beans, split peas and canned goods for a month if things got tough. We've increased that to two months, she has 90 days of insulin in the fridge, and with an extra 40 pounds of dog food we can stay in the house and backyard for 60 days, maybe more. I'll check the mail outside or in the garage with disposable gloves, which is overkill, but better safe than sorry. That's if things get rough. A country boy can survive, and his wife, too.

Reasonable precautions should keep most of us pretty healthy unless we already have health concerns.
