Since there is a credible threat after this nightclub attack, we cannot be seen in public in our Uniforms. We have to travel in Civilian clothes and change inside the Stand Alone Facilities and then change again before we exit the building. I say we all carry weapons and ammo and go about our usual business with a heightened Situational awareness.

SGM Billy Herrington - Isn't that something that could lead to an issue with the military and lead to judicial or non-judicial punishment? I agree with you 100% that you should carry I just don't want to see our soldiers end up with something in their record that could impact them after getting out.

SPC Charles Zeller - never heard anything of the sort. I'll take the chance though.

SGM Billy Herrington - I guess as long as you're licensed to carry in the state or have reciprocal laws protecting you I.e. Florida to Georgia you're good to hook. Anyway stay safe.

I am licensed in MS. We're pretty lenient on guns thankfully. I'm active guard as well, not active duty title 10. I make a point to research the reciprocity laws when I go TDY for the very reason you mention.
