Someone from the Opensource.com IRC channel suggested this. It's IRC with finesse and more user-friendly than Hexchat. But I think it's only free trial.

Looks like there is a cost after the free trial. I've used Zoom in the past and I heard that FB chat is now capable of group calls.

SSgt Mark Lines - Hexchat is easy. And Linux mint has quite a few dedicated IRC channels on SpotChat, if I recall correctly.
