The tired and very new argument that "Islam has always been at war with the West" (even though Malaysian and Pakistani Muslims saved our Rangers in Mogadishu) needs to cease. It plays right into our enemies' hands. The only conclusion it suggests is that Muslims need to stop following their religion in order to be peacful, which is exactly what our enemies preach. Any cursory study of history from unbiased sources finds this totally false.

The right in this country has been playing into the hands of Muslim extremists for decades, which isn't hard to understand given that they have similar world views. A coming end times with an all out battle between good and evil, it's a horrifying fantasy that sane people of any and no religion need to work against at all costs.
