This is Edgodan and company dreaming of a joint Turkish/US and maybe NATO push into Syria. That will not happen. The US (I pray) will not commit troops to this, yes there are SpecOps forces on the ground now but that's the extent of it. And a push by Turkey into Damascus will not be tolerated by Iran and Russian. Kurd forces have been moving on Raqqa for some time, with the help of US air strikes and SpecOps forces in an attempt to gain and control additional territory in the event of a brokered peace deal. So Turkey moving on Raqqa will not be easy, as they will face Daesh and Kurds forces. If Turkey wants to establish a permanent buffer into Syria it will need to occupy not just the town of Jarablus, but the entire stretch of the southern border and again the Kurds will not allow that to happen. This is not Cyprus, Turkey will not occupy and hold territory in Syria for too long.
