Israel shares technology with the US for many years, not only for tunnels but also for missiles ( Iron Dome systems), smart helmets (Air force), trophy systems for tanks and Apc's, laser defensive systems, digital and secure communication, Space, Intelligence, Etc, the list goes on. Usually this cooperation is not made public, also Israel shares her know how in urban combat, (training of US Marines and elite Forces in the Negev desert ) There is a mock up of a Arab town were those troops train for several weeks prior to deployment to the ME.
The cooperation is deep and people who had any contact with some of the before mentioned items will attest to it.
