Isn't interesting that those of us who ran and played in the dirt and mud (even getting a mouthful from time to time), who ate bologna and hot dogs laced with nitrates, and wallowed in peanut butter (yum, peanut butter), didn't have a scintilla of the problems we see today. We built immunities. Imagine that!

I thought we busted this myth YEARS ago? Who actually believes this anymore?! The world is a very dirty place - teaming with bacteria and viruses. Why anyone would eat something that has come in contact with a non-sterile surface is beyond me. If my food falls off onto my clean counter after I've cooked it, I throw it out. -Now, I grew up drinking from a water hose and eating jelly beans that fell onto the floor and I am okay, but I am smarter now. Because we, as a population, have created these "super bugs" - bacteria resistant to nearly all forms of medication, I'm not taking many extra risks.. Just my personal opinion.
