Not surprising. Just can't get around fact that ITT is a for profit college and about the last thing they care about is educating their students. Their primary objective is to get as much money out of students as possible. If the funding for a student is from Federal sources, all the better, the well is deeper. Glad the Government has figured this out with ITT. For you folks out there looking to get an education let this serve as a warning; be VERY cautious when dealing with any for profit educational organization.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I have had the sad experience of teaching evening courses for some very good high quality for profit colleges . . . as well as for some that made up their accreditation paperwork and charged $130K for an associates degree . . . the government is not obligated and cannot protect you from all educational frauds . . . consider excessive prices . . . check out current accreditation status (probation) and how long the school has been fully accredited . . . determine whether the school's units are transferable to any other accredited schools (particularly state colleges and prestigious private universities) . . . and be particularly cautious when the school offers expensive private loans from their own lenders (for which they receive a cut of the loan costs) . . . finally check out whether the school is under investigation or leadership under indictment. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

I had the distinct pleasure to find out in the early 80's that they were not accredited, after being ask directly, and we're told they were, and that there 90% placement did not mean a job in the field you went to school for in just meant they would help you find a job, might be close to your field of study and might be flipping burgers at a fast food joint. The only thing I got out of it was an advanced pay grade in the navy, started out my service as an E-3

SGT Roberto Mendoza-Diaz - What is really important are the degree, what you know, and how you apply what you know. The degree opens the employer's door . . . the rest is really up to you. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)
