This from a Democrat that cast my first general election vote in 1964:
Carville makes some valid points. We have a couple of very good moderate candidates. However, I fear they are going to get pushed aside. We have the lead on a lot of major issues Americans are talking about. But we are getting bogged down in mostly smaller issues. Now, all the candidates are saying beating Trump is the major goal. Yes, but also no. I want to see Trump defeated. But to do that we MUST address the issues America is concerned about, not just bashing him. Only one or two of those candidates are doing that, and even then not strong enough.

Once again, I see the wisdom of Will Rogers, back in the Depression:
"I am not a member of an organized political party, I am a Democrat."

I disagree with Carville on most issues, but he is definitely a shrewd strategist.
I really have no idea what the DNC is doing right now. But if things stay as they are, they are going to nominate one of their nuts, then get trounced in the general election.

He is right about Tom Perez, wait until you see some of the items of the Summer Convention they are planning, FOX News is going to have a field day reporting just on the private jet accomodations. Perez has no clue what to avoid as far as potential PR disasters go and he has a couple in the works for this summer for the DNC Convention.......watch. Unfortunately he is probably going to take down the Democratic Mayor of Milwaukee which is sad because he is really a good guy (Tom Barrett).

I agree with him, never in my adult life has the Democratic Party been more in disarray or more internally divided. There are lots of up sides to that, IMHO, but the big downside is it lets the mainstream GOP, as out of touch an organization as the Democrats, get an almost free pass. We need to make all those Beltway Washington types fear for their jobs.

And they still refuse to admit they have an issue. Iowa Caucuses and depending on a Senior Hillary Clinton Senior Advisor for IT? Really how dumb was that?? Wait until you see how the DNC Convention unfolds from what I hear so far it will be a fiasco or PR disaster as well. Hope I am wrong because Milwaukee has worked really, really hard to put it's best foot forward here. There will be a lot of PO'd people in Wisconsin if the DNC Convention turns into something to laugh at and Wisconsin is a swing state for 2020.

With the developing chasm between the moderates and the socialists, and billionaire Bloomberg who has ALREADY spent more than Trump in 2015-16, I'd bet it's going to be a food fight, and then Hillary will swoop in trying to be the "compromise" candidate for everyone. I also bet it will be great political theater.
