The military will pay the extra to needy military families to bring them up to the official poverty level. However the poverty level is so low that perhaps an E-4 would need to have 6 kids to benefit from the program. I have read possibly 18 million American kids might go hungry this year due to the economy and inherent poverty. I want to see Trump and Biden say lets feed these kids. I am doing well financially so I have donated to food pantries.
